ECHO LIU
Drawing from the visual language of fashion, advertising, and digital culture, Liu treats the body as both subject and raw material: posed, edited, and released into systems of visibility. Their work sits at the edge between documentation and fabrication — intimate enough to feel real, constructed enough to feel like a dare. Portraiture becomes, in their hands, a political act — a way of seizing authorship over how a body is seen.
Liu's lens-based work has been featured in Refinery29, Polyester Zine, Aether Magazine, Girlgaze, Adolescent Content, and Sukeban Magazine. They are based in Brooklyn, NY and available for editorial, institutional, and collaborative projects.
